Greg Raymer Joins Full Tilt Poker?

Greg Raymer

The former Team PokerStars Pro player Greg Raymer is rumored to be signing for Full Tilt Poker. Is this really the case? Read and find out.

There are whispers circulating the poker tables right now that former Team PokerStars Pro player Greg Raymer is set to join Full Tilt Poker. The rumors started at the recent NBC Heads-Up National Championship where Raymer was sighted with the entire Full Tilt Poker wear. If this speculation is true it will send tremors through the poker community.

It was only a short while ago that the 2004 WSOP Main Event Champion and PokerStars came to blows which resulted in the player’s departing the site’s team. It has been alleged that the leading room were offering their older professionals extended contracts but for less money. Nothing has been confirmed but if that was the case then it is fair to see why Raymer jumped ship and sought out a better deal elsewhere. If the hearsay is true then it would also make Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom’s arrival at the leading site all the more controversial.

It is believed that currently Raymer’s deal with Full Tilt only covered the recent NBC Heads-Up National Championship but the feeling on the floor is that the deal will be extended to further tournaments in the future.

Raymer, known as the ‘Fossilman’ might not be the most eccentric player in the world but his activity with regards to finding a new sponsorship deal has set chins wagging and ears are on fire. The publicity he is generating through his decision-making alone is making him a prize asset for any poker room out there so it is no wonder Full Tilt are looking to pick him up.
